My only wedding in 2017 where it stormed with high winds and heavy rain. Literally the worst weather conditions for a beautiful outdoor wedding…after processing the photos and remembering the chaos the bride and groom handled amazingly well, it lead to be one of my favorite weddings of all time. Smiling from ear to ear, going back through these photos. Ryan and Marie had their private and intimate wedding at Chandon Domaine in Yountville, CA. Probably one of the most beautiful places in wine country. We watched the weather like crazy. The bride was prepared for rain with her adorable “something blue” rain-boots and a few clear umbrellas. I had all my rain gear and bug spray. I was ready for anything. Nothing was stopping this wedding from happening. Their love did not miss a beat. Rain had begun as soon as the bride walked down the isle. Rain on your wedding day is good luck right? It was totally fine. The best part was, they were down to do anything at this point. So instead of having photos taken inside, we ran out there like a bunch of kids and had fun in the rain! Why not right? I couldn’t ask for a better couple. They were extremely adventurous, and they appreciated my crazy ideas. To follow, there was a private dinner at Redd Wood, which was fantastic. Lots of laughs and lots of tears. They even shared during the cake cutting that they made their own wedding cake together and topped it with Marie’s parents’ original cake topper for their wedding. So cute right?
Two days later they had their wedding reception at King Fish in San Mateo with lots of friends and family! Ryan and Marie, thank you for letting me be a part of your very eventful and beautiful wedding. You 2 are just an amazing couple and the most genuine loving people.
